LifeGuides: Developer Intern
Lifeguides.me is a new online education platform that allows people to study what they don’t teach you in school – students can learn a variety of topics ranging from: applying to grad school, getting married, coming back from the military, dealing with disabilities, and more.
We are two technical co-founders looking for help on the development side. One of our founders was an engineer at Google for 5 years and would be a great mentor for someone looking to write scalable production level code. Our other founder was a VC and can shed light into that world. Interns are expected to get exposure to all aspects of the business, from coding to fundraising.
What would I be working on? A lot! LifeGuides is in alpha stage now (lifeguides.me), and there is a ton of work to do around course creation tools, interactive elements for learning, social elements for collaborating, proper site structure for SEO, and a whole lot more.
Snapchat, Inc.: Software Engineer
My name is Sheldon and I'm an engineer at Snapchat. I've been here for eleven months, and in my time here we've gone from sharing 50 million snaps per day to more than 350 million.
Our team is still incredibly small -- we have only 13 engineers in total, so every engineer we hire will have an unrivaled amount of impact and responsibility. We're looking to hire juniors and seniors for both full time and internship opportunities.
We just moved into a beautiful new office in Venice Beach (Los Angeles) and we have a number of really exciting product developments in the pipeline. Our mission is to change the way people communicate and share their lives with the people they love.
If working on a mobile product that millions of people (especially young people!) adore and use everyday sounds like something you might be interested in, feel free to send me your resume at firstname.lastname@example.org.
